National Museum of Singapore @ nite

Gosh oh gosh... how can i not post this??? well... better late than never...
Walked through National Museum of Singapore one evening about 9ish, 10, after an evening of Giselle in the Park by Singapore Dance Theatre. It was my first visit to the museum since it's opening in 2006 (I have not been in Singapore for a while..) Some of my colleagues and I were cutting through the museum to get to the subway station... and WOW... i was shuttering away like a little girl in wonderland...

singapore has a lil' island within singapore... yes yes.. it is a man-made island, and oasis for the rich and posh (some say atas).
it was a public holiday and some of us needed a getaway well sort of... and we decided to go for brunch at this great looking place in the scorching heat.
PRiVé @ Keppel Marina... a little island tat reminded me of a scene of Newport Beach from The OC, or something like Miami... with boats/yacht awaiting, tanning in the sun...

we ate at Bakery Cafe, as the Restaurant was not opened on a public holiday... the food to be honest, was a slight let down... perhaps i expected more... much more at such an atas/posh place....
meising and i were inspired by a idealistic getaway.. i was geared with my bright pink bikini, and she was in her orchid garland braclet. oh... of cos.. not to forget the SHADES!!!!
my very first shades that i bought.. instead of my previous ones that was ill-fitting which came along as freebies when i bought harpers... me heart me shades from MJ :p

ping is back

yes yes... ping is back from the land of SOUTHPARK and the land of guns and killings.. heehee.. Canada... she was studying in Vancouver and still is a student.. heehee... she prettier and prettier ah.... heehee... she was my FIRST friend in secondary school. and i am so pleased to see how beautiful she has blossomed! she n i used to be very very chor-lor (tomboyish) in school... she was very very sporty but despite her chor-lor-ness she had a fleet of suitors!!!
Terri (suhui), Huiping n i meet up after .... 12 years... for lunch and dessert, shopping and dinner... it was a fruitful day and load and loads of catching up and unravelling.. heehee... we had tremendous fun!!!
love her sense of humor and love her to bits!!!
and yes yes yes.... more to come.. we are looking forward to our East Coast seafood expenditure!!!! heehee...

this is me... showing gluttony *sigh*... i just had a huge huge steamboat dinner from COCA! embarrassingly after the dinner i went to the loo and met an ex-colleague who joyfully asked when was my delivery date... i replied, " ERM.... I.. JUST HAD DINNER ACTUALLY!" hahahahahaha....

A visit to Jamie's INC shop at Far East! she finally has her own territory!!!! no more sharing with other tenants... woohoo!!! happie and proud of her!!! here's buddie!

Next up, my visit to the PERANAKAN MUSEUM. a newly refurbished museum with tons of info about the straits born chinese/malays...

it's made up of THIS!!! many millions of beads!!! i pity the females in those days... they had to sew all these to give it to their prospective hubby to be, to show what kind of wife they can be, and how "feminine" they are by showing their skills in beadwork.... aiyo... thank goodness for 21st Century!!!!
