'On 4 July 2006, David Walliams swam the English Channel (England to France) in aid of Sport Relief, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds. Completing the 22 mile marathon in 10 hours and 34 minutes, it placed his effort within the top 50 recorded times for an unaided Channel crossing.'
