post-KISSMAS

a picture of me outside nat's place... isn't the wreath lovely??? :) am so please wif the look of the wreath :)
oh dear oh dear... i have been a terrible terrible terrible person... well.. sort of... i have been shopping shopping... and oh.. have i said... SHOPPING or did i miss out SHOP-bloody-PING???
yes yes... i spend so much money.. and am feeling terribly terribly guilty now... i wished it was just a nightmare that leaves the goodies before...oh.. well.. i WISH.. and the very very worse thing... i still have a bloody long wish list awaiting to be fulfil!!!
it began with a thought on Christmas night, contemplating if we (nat, val, saffie and i) were to embark on the journey to Oxford street, Selfridges... well and the following day, when the store opened at 9:30am, we decided to pluck up our courage and join the hectic crowd of Oxford street and Selfridges, keeping fingers crossed that we would not be crushed.. or tramper over... well.. as a pre-planned couple of hours shopping had lead to a 6 hours worth of shopping... shopping... and yes yes.. s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g!!! To the extend that, saffie brought her laptop along to amuse herself... while we adults occupied ourselves with some girlie stuff...not going to write out each and every thing i bagged... to prevent any further guilt... but i thought this picture speaks for itself... our Boxing Day adventure...to make myself feel a little bit better... the goodies i got, are bought on DISCOUNT!!!!! so.. there... no guilt trip there... hahaha...

KISSMAS DAY

Early start after a late night on Christmas Eve... After a couple hours of beauty rest, all of us got up, and got ready for Morning Christmas Mass at Brompton Oratory... It was a new experience for me to attend a Christmas mass in a Catholic Church... the experience was interesting... but to be frank, where we were sitting, i could hardly hear what the priest was saying.. but all in all it was a good thing i attended... then i came upon a stranger's house and fell in love with their wreath...
Then, back in the house, Val gave me a little present, a little chocolaty 'toy' from Belgium... It was a block of dark chocolate, and the fun was to stir the block in hot milk, to watch the swirl and bits of the chocolate melting and dissolving away...

BEFOREAFTER
Soon after, we get down to preparing the food, while the little princess, Saffie catches up on her beauty sleep... Val and I prepared so much so much food... well.. it was meant to fill our tums tums till the following day anyway... My task was the mozerella and tomato entree, while Val prepared the duck, the orange sauce, the vegetables, the soup, etc.... so this was the dish i prepared...and these are the fun crackers we had... it came with whistles of different note, and a 'conductor' was supposed to conduct these whistles-blower (pural because, each of us were handling at least 2 whistles), based on a numerical score... it was very fun... the most popular piece, with a few encore, was Chitty chitty bang bang and the Can Can(the hot favourite, where we practiced and practiced to synchronise and perfected it...)... and the galore of food.. YUM YUM!!!
And there was the photo taking session, despite feeling famished...
nat and i...val and i...saffie and i... and all of us at the table.. using the timer feature on the digital camera...
after dinner and lounging around.. it was time to remove the decoration from the christmas tree.. santa's little elf seemed to have it the other way around... and put back most of the decoration back on the wilted tree... saffie seemed really shocked that the tree turned out so bare and naked... and dried of course...
I had a wonderful christmas with the girlies... thank you!!!! have a blessed and sexiting new year ahead yeah!!!!

KISSMAS EVE

Christmas Eve... few hours before the clock strike midnight, there were lots and lots of last minute wrapping and chatting... prior to that, we (Saffie, Nat, Val and I) were planning to attend Midnite Mass.. but.. we had just simply so much so much to do... I busied myself with sorting out the ribbons (i have a Monica (from Friends) instinct in me...) and of course munching away the chocolates lying around the place... it was literally non-stop eating... and playing tunes on my iTunes... chatting and laughing... When the clock strike twelve, we wished everyone MERRY CHIRSTMAS!!!! we hurried to prepare the carrots (for the reindeers) and mincepies and gingerbread man from FatherChristmas...
All these to create a realistic entrance for Father Christmas...
As much as we planned to make Christmas Morning a Open-Presents-Session... Saffie started the ball rolling by opening all her Santa's presents just minutes after midnite.. and Val, who was all energetic and excited, insisted that we all open ours there and then... i had no objections to that of course.. hahahaha
Saffie's reaction when she realised that Father Christmas was really watching and listening to what she really wanted for Christmas.... *do apologise for the over-exposed picture*...
Some of the few presents of Saffie's... a pair of high heels, an acoustic guitar and a semi-fake refrigerator...

And here we are in our Christmas Stockings :)
my presents from the gurlies are a Cath Kidston bag (am a Kidston lover), as was instructed by the givers that it will be an excellent choice for my future job as a teacher, this handy and reliable bag will hold the workbooks and homework of my students...and they also gave me Christian Bale's The Machinist... I have been contemplating to buy it myself, as i was hoping the price to drop at HMV..... they probably heard my thoughts and bag it in for me for Xmas... WOOHOO!!!! Val probably think its a good choice... gaunt, anorexic Bale.... perfect for a Bale and Kidston lover... Thank you sweeties...

pre-KISSMAS

spending this christmas with Val, Nat and Saffie... yes yes.. it's an all-gurl affair... so... pre xmas eve and pre xmas day... it's all about shopping for kits, wrapping the gems, and spending good ol' quality time indoors (away from the drastic cold!!!)
so.. here we are... shopping in Harrods...wrapping and fine-tuning all the xmas presents and cards, and of course take a picture by the giant xmas tree in Whiteleys.. and spending good time teaching saffie how to play Memory game, with some vintage snap cards... apart from the fact that, Saffie ends up coming up with her own rules, where she opens all the other cards till she get the similar ones, in her turn...
and... of course, Saffie enjoy camera crazy with my laptop and iSIGHT... here she is pretending to be a cat with painted faces (aka star stickers as make up)

VERA WANG + TUBE CHAOS

wat an afternoon... phew! it all started quite well... i ended up in Selfridges... decided to join in the mad last-minute xmas shopping rush, with literally nuthin in mind to buy, or get... i just wanted to look at things/stuffs... an excuse to roam the streets.... anyway... was at Selfridges, but didn't stayed too long.. decided to explore the basement today... came upon Vera Wang's Wedding Shop.
Goodness oh Goodness..How gorgeous can it be... to begin with... just to clarify, it had nuthin to do with the label, but it's all in the style of Vera Wang. Her collection of photoframes, untensils, etc were stunning.. and of course her gowns... needless to say... they are DIVINE!!!!!
what a typical day it was.. imagine, Place: London, Time: Peak Hour, Period: Pre-XMAS. As the people of London are in the festive mood, a couple of oddballs just need to create chaos to add pain to the majority of merrymakers... hmmmf.. let me explain... it started from approximately 4ish to 5pm... some tube lines were already having problems.. and it seemed to be some sort of disease, one line spread to the other, and by 7ish to 8pm, 6 out of 12 tube lines were facing problems, some suspended, some had severe delays and some minor delays... just another one of those typical day on a London Transport...Mind you, i was on the Central Line at Oxford Circus tube station, for 40 minutes... to hear that Central Line is no longer working, and i had to leave and find alternate routes... hmmf... I probably don't need to explain much on the reasons behind such delays on the London Transport, you read it yourself...

i have 5 blogs

yes yes... i am having more and more blogs... but they are each for different purposes!!!! well anyway.. they are on the links on the right of this page... briefly...

SUICIDALPIXIE
Basically this blog is generally whatever is happening to me... i write all sorts of stuff, rubbish, junk, etc you name it... i probably have it... how i feel, what i think, etc...

RANDOMLONDON
This blog dwells on pictures and thoughts that has anything to do with the UK... I am way behind on this.. but never too late to share my pictures with anyone who is interested to know, right?

SUICIDALATTIC
This blog is a little morbid, in a way... i love the thought of death... and sometimes i wonder how can death be beautified and glorified... well... so i set up this blog where i can just discuss how death can be designed

DANCEWORDS
Its all about DANCE, BALLET, etc... in a way, its my way of practice my dance writing... so.. its probably good for anyone interested in dance in uk, especially the productions of the ROYAL BALLET!!!

EDWARD-WATSONISM or EDWATSON
Well, I doubt this blog need any further introduction... yes yes... i am pathetic.. i came up with a blog of Ed.. but i did it to partly backup his pictures, share his info and of course to kill time... anyway... i am not his only fan...

a lil' tis.. a lil' tat...

during my trip back home... for work with SOTA (www.sota.sg)... some of the major events were... shared a new digital camera wif janie (where the previous one has been unfortunately been stolen from me...) and he took up a more serious hobby now... shutter-clicking (i normally call it..) this is him and his camera :p
As he is busy shooting pictures.. i tagged along and let my camera phone to good use and took seriously random pictures
These are pictures of a vintage Suzuki.. cute as it is, but its not for sale unfortunately... small in size, but HUGE in impression :)

I simply couldn't help it.. it was the BIGBOYZTOYZ show at expo... and it was a Brazilian Bikini Fashion Show... Look at those salivating men!!! i call it Public Display of Arousal
Then... i saw a dead rat on the ground in Tanjong Pagar.. i couldn't resist.. i took a picture of it... look at the way it died... it looked like it had a calm and non-tension death.. awwww
typically me... needless to say.. was fooling around... i thought the lights on the thin stem was very fairy lookin... but subsequently quite spookie too.. hahaha

yes yes.. i am odd...
