EDnergized!!!!

happie happie... 3 happie ballet things for today.. to begin with, i got a La Fille Mal Gardee DVD performed by the Royal Ballet's Marianela Nunez and Carlo Acosta from Dave today!!!! :) woohoo!!!
then... the next best thing, i managed to get a ticket for the Royal Ballet's Mixed Bill Rehearsal. It was PHENOMENAL!!!! It has 2 of my favourite choreographers, Wayne McGregor and Christopher Wheeldon, presenting new work for the Royal Ballet, Chroma and DGV respectively. Balachine's Four Temperaments, was sandwiched between these 2 sensational new works; making the Four Temperaments looked dated and battered.. awww... McGregor and Wheeldon's creation are truly world class... definitely made a mark in history! Apart from watching my favourite choreographers, my favourite dancer was in all 3 pieces for the mixed bill!!! hahahaha yes yes, Triple Dose of Ed! the best thing is, ed is probably born to dance neo-classical/modern works. he seemed so comfortable and electrifying in all the pieces... (but when it's classical work.. ahem ahem...sigh...) anyway... i shan't complain, 3 works of fantastic dancing from the other dancers too... AHHH if only, i have a photographic memory to remember the 3 works, and revisit the dancing whenever and wherever... this is the advertising poster of this 5-days only production (I wish, every show is a sell out, for it truly deserve to be) and i spotted a bigger version of this poster at Tottenham Court Road Tube station (central line linkage to northern line). I stood in the walkway, dumbfounded for a minute... it had this invinsible energy and allure... out of 5 shows (+1 rehearsal), i only managed 3 shows... (i acutally bought tickets for all 5 shows, but, had to sell my other tickets, have to go back to singapore to work hmmmf) anyway...if you are reading this, and in london... get online or call the box office and get yourself a ticket, and let your mind be blown away!!!
ROYAL BALLET - CHROMA/FOUR TEMPERAMENTS/DGV
the next happie thing that happened... ahahhaha.. best ever... for my birthday next year, i am all sorted.. Stella (a new friend) sold me her ticket to watch the Royal Ballet in Class on my burpday!!! woohoo!!!! hopefully get to see all my favourite dancers in that class.. and i will be hopping around like a crazy happie bunnie *grinz grinz*

SWING HEIL!!!!

SWING HEIL!!! SWING HEIL!!! SWING HEIL!!!
SWING KIDS - A film made in 1993, looking at the youth in 1939 Nazi Germany, who are greatly influenced by the ''swing" music and the Jitterbug from America. Directed by Thomas Carter, and so very well presented by class act: Christian Bale and Robert Sean Leonard. Great dancing too... well, Christian and Robert may not exactly have the flair of the professional but it was darn good effort!
Quote from Wikipedia: *Thomas Carter's 1993 film Swing Kids examined this underground culture of rebellion during Nazi Germany in some detail. Starring Robert Sean Leonard, Christian Bale, Frank Whaley and Kenneth Branagh (uncredited), the picture was not a commercial success but is nonetheless a moderately accurate history-based film.*
Hey! It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. Do wah, do wah, do wah, do wah, do wah.
sometimes i wonder... to begin with, the definition as accroding to dictionary.com for the word CULT is: a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies. or the object of such devotion or a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. so, my point that maks me ponder.. if Satanism is cult act (because of the worship of a being/with ceremonies and devotion to a belief, etc.) isn't it the same as Hitler's nazi propaganda? well.. Hitler does all the killing or rather sacrificing, and his people does all the worshipping... hmmmf.... i think.. human beings just feel terribly insecure and a great need for belonging, hence because of such reasons, thats why human make up religion/cults, etc.... such a sad sad world...hmmmf... *sigh*

scienceMUSEUM

went to the Science Museum with my bro early this summer... found some really fascinating things... went to the museum specially for the Pixar Exhibition, unfortunately no photography was allowed in the exclusive exhibition, this was the closest i am to getting a bit of PIXAR

had so many pictures to post on this blog... but all i need is time... well now... i was suppose to do some backing.. but was in the mood to blog... so here i am puttin up stuff.. tat had happened this early summer... so there you go.. here is collage of my room, my bathroom and my pee-poo room when i was living in henning street, london, during my 2nd and 3rd year studying in royal academy of dance...
yes yes.. the room is really bare as i took these pictures just minutes before i moved out permanantly... was sad when i had to leave... but it all part and parcel of life... it contained many memories which i will never forget, and many lessons i learnt from living there... many tears, joys and hysterical moments which i will always treasure...

a polish experience

my half polish friend brought me to try out polish food... it was YUMMIE... i liked it... its simple, home-cooked-ish, and healthy... what not to like? it didn't looked exceptionally appetizing, but i enjoyed it very much... even the polish grandfather who sat beside me said, "it's better than chinese food, not?"
clockwise from left: reddish pile of mess = like pork goulash minced meat with vegetables,
top of the plate: white pockets thingy = meat dumplings, like chinese gyoza but steamed ones with some bacons for garnish
right of plate: potato pancakes with cucumber and tomato. these are my favourites!!!
smack in the middle: scroll looking thing = cabbage wrap, with minced meat inside.
lotsa meat and vegetable... yums..
then, after a polish lunch, my friend and I walked around South Kensington/Knightsbridge.. and came upon these houses, they had creepie crawlies leaves all over them... thought that they were lurvely....
