unkle tim's lunch

had a nice but sad day today... unkle tim is going back to singapore. another friend leaving UK... but i send him my best wishes for a bright future ahead :) we (aunty val, nat the mummie, saffron, unkle tim and me aka aunty celine) went for his surprise/farewell lunch at FIFTEEN in OLD STREET. Fifteen is the restaurant opened by telly chef Jamie Oliver. personally, the food.... hmmmf... i won't put it on my list of places-to-suggest-the-next-time-i-am-looking-for-good-food.
it made me wonder if Jamie, himself is as fantastic he claims to be.. hmmmf... i thought the food were overpriced for its portion.
I didn't think the pottery went along with the interior ambience and mood of the place... but oh well, i am just a diner...

THE SANTANIC BIBLE

I found tis on wikipedia.org. Its so interesting.. who said Satanism is bad? well, then its seems that majority of us are practicing it at one point of our life... and in this century in time, some of these practices seemed to be the norm...
The Satanic Bible is a book written by Anton LaVey in 1969. It contains a collection of essays, observations and basic Satanic rituals, and outlines LaVey's unique Satanic ideology

1. WANTED-GOD DEAD OR ALIVE
...the Satanist simply accepts the definition which suits him best. Man has always created his gods, rather than his gods creating him. To the Satanist "God"...is seen as the balancing force in nature, and not as being concerned with suffering.
The passage from which this is taken, when viewed as a whole, suggests that "God" is a human concept, a means of explaining that which men have been unable to explain either through ignorance or through philosophical inability to grasp the nature of reality. This passage also opens up the common Satanic maxim, "I am my own god", a statement of self-aggrandizement, viewed as a positive trait by Satanists.
2. SEVEN DEADLY SINS
It begins by suggesting that the Seven Deadly Sins are in fact all instinctual to human nature and not sinful at all. It states that they are all unavoidable urges of mankind, carefully selected by Christianity to ensure that all men will inevitably sin, as no one can avoid engaging in these instinctive urges. LaVey submits that this is a device to guarantee that, taken within the Christian religious framework, one would have no choice but to beg God for forgiveness as he will surely have sinned and therefore dependence upon the Christian church is assured.
3. SATANIC SEX
LaVey's stance, once again, takes a purely individual approach to sexual matters and ethics. He maintains that while some people are indeed happy with sexual promiscuity, some are, by their nature, happier with much less sexual activity, or perhaps no sexual activity at all. LaVey believes that neither of these states is unnatural or deserving of condemnation, but rather that it is a decision for each individual to make concerning their own sexual tastes and activities. "Satanism encourages any form of sexual expression you may desire, so long as it hurts no one else."
4. INDULGENCE NOT COMPULSION
Satanism, as an atheistic religion, holds that as there is no afterlife and therefore no paradise or heaven, all happiness and satisfaction must be attained here, on earth. LaVey therefore advises that you indulge to the greatest extent possible, that your days on earth may be best spent.
5. SATANIC RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY
Two holidays of importance, Walpurgisnacht and Halloween.

RED DRAGON u won't like this

was already 7/8 way through with the book, Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, i decided to just finished with the dvd...even with the book, and the movie, it was still very different. the movie was a fast forward version. for example, 20 mins into the dvd, it was like 3/4 into the book... nevertheless, the movie was still not too bad.. personally would prefer more killings, and more images of them.. it was too much investigation and no killings... the good thing about the movie, was it was packed with a whole bunch of talented individuals and of cos reputable artists, Edward Norton [American History X, Fight Club, Anthony Hopkins [Hannibal Lecter], Ralph Fiennes [The Constant Gardener, English Patient, VOLDEMORT], Harvey Keitel [Holy Smoke, The Piano], Philip Seymour Hoffman [Mission Impossible 3]... this is a picture of edward norton and ralph fiennes...
Red Dragon mainly based on William Blake's painting, Red Dragon..
Won't say too much.. go get the dvd... I wouldn't say its a movie to simply to die for, but its a no-harm-watching kinda show.. i want more killing.. MORE MORE MORE... yes.. i sound sick, but if u have seen the show, i like the look of the female victims in the movie..
briefly, i thought the idea of putting mirror pieces in the eyes of the female victims to make their eyes look alive... hmmf... nice... for me.. i thought it gave that little bit of *twinkle* i think of all the still image in the movie, i like this the most, its the part just after the killer, played by Ralph Fiennes bit Philip Seymour Hoffman's lips off... :) its red and juicy, what not to like about it :)

a lil' encouragement...

heard about some constructive feedback about my dance reviews.. they are helpful..but i didn't expect that my words are brutally blunt, and may hurt the performers... i am terribly sorry... will improve on that... and a lil' encouragement from close friend, val, and a new friend, dave, gave me positive energy.. thank you folks... isn't it cute? that next year, a royal ballet events falls on my birthday. unfortunately i did not have any luck in getting tickets for it.. it's a SELL-OUT event. It's royal ballet in class. hmmmf.. gonna wish upon a star every night now (but there's hardly any stars in London, DARN!) and the other thing, another royal ballet event that involves ed, falls on his birthday too.. awwww heeheee

grey, denim, black trainers and a cornish pasty :)

gosh... i was jus waiting to meet someone to buy a Royal Ballet ticket, at the Royal Opera House shop. i stood at the entrance of the shop, watching the flood of audience exiting the auditorium after the matinee opening performance of Coppelia at the main auditorium. Casually i was just observing the crowd coming towards my directions and some took a turn and enter the royal opera house shop.. then from a distance, amidst the crowd... guess wat??? heehee... it was HIM... heehee... didn't expected to see him, really... he walked down the little slope (where the ticketing box office was), and walked towards my direction.. he walked past me, right beneath my nose... my eyes just followed... it was surreal... he was so near... his footsteps paused, he watches the crowd in the shop, and hesistated, he continued to walk on, and exited the glass door out of the royal opera house... i was literally overwhelmed.. i ringed 2 innocent victims to spread and share my joy... one of them urged for me to take a picture of him if i see him, but i didn't bring my digital camera.. "use your mobile!!!" oh yes... i forgotten about the advanced technology now... hahahaha... by now, i exited the glass door too and merge into the Friday crowd at Covent garden. From a distance, i saw HIM again... in his snuggly warm grey jumper, denim and trainers, he was checking out his mobile phone and eating his Cornish Pasty... Awwww...hahahaha... then.. he walked towards my direction and beside me, then past me... i only managed his back... but i was pleased that i saw him ever so unexpectedly.... still... i do not have the guts to say hi

EDventure begins...

guess who i saw this evening at the opera house... heehee.. yes yes.. Ed.. he was giving his support to Cathy Marston (one of my fave choreographer)'s show. It was moments before the performance starts, i was walking along and submerging into the crowd as i am reading the programme, as i looked up to see where i was going, and ensuring that i will not collide with anyone, guess who is at my 11 o'clock? A dirty blond, black shirt, dark denim jeans and black shoes. yes yes... he looked like he just showered... cos his hair was still damp. he is so fair... almost like a spirit... during the performance, i glazed at him and caught him yawning at one instance... awwww.. he must be tired.. heehee... and when the dancers on stage took their bow, i glanced towards Ed, and due to the lighting from the stage, Ed's face seemed like it was glowing, but in a more sinister, gothic way... he really looked like dracula... me like me like...
